When deciding which Internet browser to install and use on your computer, consider the user interface, the features and how quickly websites load. To accurately compare Firefox and Chrome, you will need to use a third-party tool designed to test browser speed. Using the results from these tests, you can decide which of the two browsers is best for you.
Instructions
1.Download and install the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox.
2. Close all of the programs running on your computer.
3. Open Chrome and navigate to one of the browser test websites in the Resources.
4. Run the browser test. Each test can take up to about five minutes to run.
5. Make note of the results or copy them into a document on your computer to compare later.
6. Close Chrome and open Firefox.
7. Navigate to the same test website you used in Step 4.
8. Run the test again to obtain the results for Firefox.
9. Compare the results of this test to the Chrome results. Each test has a different way of quantifying the data, but they all include notes as to whether a higher or lower score for each tested factor is better.
