Increase Attack in Crime City

After playing Crime City for a while, it becomes clear that there is a shortage of offense when compared to the defense of other players. It has taken me a long time to figure out but it finally clicked exactly how the attack rating is compiled.

The main key to attack power depends on how many mafia members you have. The more the better and you can obtain these slowly throughout the game or by inviting friends to join your mafia. Sometimes random people will even add you, or if your ambitious you can add random people by sending your player number to them.

The next part of attack is the equipment and vehicles and how they are related to the mafia size. How it works is that every mafia member you own can be equipped with a gun, melee weapon, armor, vehicle, and explosive. The attacks of all these items are then added up and give you your attack score.

When attacking a rival, it will show you in the results screen how many items you used in the fight. To increase your attack, scroll down to the bottom of your list and find your weakest equipment. If you buy something better than that, it will be replaced by the new item and your attack will increase by the difference between the two items attack ratings. Also you can buy multiples of weapons and they will still help. For example, the sawed of shotgun is a deal for 360 respect coins so I bought 40 of them. This means that 40 of my mafia members are equipped with sawed off shotguns. The others have better guns, mostly from missions and help my attack even further.

Another example shown in the pictures is the change from having no explosives, to buying grenades for all 57 mafia members. Each grenade had 4 attack and raised my attack significantly. Be aware though that explosives are expendable and you must keep them stocked up or you will lose your attack power gains.

At this point I am still not sure exactly how the attack skill points help in this area. I have noticed that after leveling up and adding skill points to attack, my attack power does not go up. My only guess comes from the description saying it helps your chances of winning. I interpret this as when your are attacking someone with a higher defense, you still might win depending on the value of this skill point.
