How to Make a Cell Phone Case

How to Make a Cell Phone Case
If you own a cell phone, chances are you carry it with you everywhere. Unfortunately, this increases the risk of dropping and possibly damaging or destroying your phone. Creating your own cell-phone case can help reduce the chance of damage and provide an original look. Making the case yourself is also cheaper than purchasing one from a store.

Instructions

1. Fold your fabric over once and use a pin to keep the fabric from folding back over (see image).

2. Set your phone on top of the folded fabric. Use a marker to trace around the phone (see image).

3. Use scissors to cut the fabric about an inch around the tracing.

4. Keep the right sides of the folded fabric together and sew the fabric up the right side, the left side and the bottom, leaving an opening for the top (see image). Remove the pin.

5. Fold the opening of the case over to form a hemline about half an inch. Sew this as well (see image).

6. Attach Velcro to one side of the hem to close the case (see image).

7. Sew ribbon to the corner of the opening to use as a carrier for the cell-phone case (see image).

8. Turn the case inside out. You may decorate it with your choice of rhinestones, glitter, colored fabric glue and fabric pens. Allow the case to dry before using.
